Yara Salama holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Political Science. She specializes in strategic government communications, political engagement, public policy research, and social media management. Yara assists clients in achieving their public affairs priorities through research and report writing, as well as the development and implementation of media and stakeholder relations plans.
As the former Communications Advisor for her local MPP, Yara was able to build her network and ensure that information was dispensed efficiently and accurately to local constituents by hosting events with stakeholders, building social media strategies, and developing and maintaining a strong relationship with local media.
Yara is a Board Member on her local Liberal riding association and youth association, and has volunteered on federal, provincial, and municipal election campaigns.
Yara is also a passionate advocate for inclusive civic engagement and has worked on several grassroots campaigns, including the Canadian Arab Institute’s YourVoice project and Equal Voice’s Daughters of the Vote initiative, to encourage youth, women, and ethnic minorities to enter formal political institutions and have a direct impact on improving both policymaking and corporate culture in the private sector.
