Yara Salama turns ideas into action. Since joining Policy Concepts, she has provided strategic counsel to clients to accomplish their advocacy goals and organized award-winning public relations and health-human resource campaigns. Her ability to provide targeted government, grassroots, media, and stakeholder engagement has helped achieve public policy changes and major investments across various sectors. 

Yara also specializes in finding innovative solutions to the challenges facing industry associations. She has transformed the management and structure of numerous associations which has resulted in membership growth, improved satisfaction, and modernized operations.

Yara holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto and previously worked for her local Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP), where she managed communications and built strong relationships with community stakeholders. She has been engaged both centrally and locally in several federal, provincial, and municipal election campaigns and is passionate about engaging women, youth, and ethnic minorities in politics.
