Jonathan Rose offers clients a depth of public affairs, communications, strategic planning, and political decision making experience.  Using his extensive background in issues management, media relations and stakeholder management, Jonathan helps clients strategically position their policies and projects for optimal results.

Prior to joining Policy Concepts, Jonathan served for seven years in various senior positions in the provincial Liberal government in Ontario. Most recently he served as Director of Communications to the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services.  He also served as Director of Communications to the Minister of Labour, Strategic Communications Advisor in the Office of the Premier, and Issues Manager in the offices of the Minister of Revenue, as well as the Minister of Environment.

In these roles Jonathan worked closely with Liberal Cabinet Ministers, MPPs, and other senior decision makers on the rollout of substantial government policies such as the introduction of the HST, and the 30% OFF tuition grant. He was instrumental in developing impactful province-wide advertising campaigns, integrated social media strategies and event tours.

In addition to his government experience, Jonathan has overseen communications and provided strategic advice for several successful political campaigns at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.

Jonathan has a Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Arts in Political Science from York University.
